Thank you for your interest in a London Stansted Airport Community Grant.
If your organisation operates within our 'Area of Benefit' you can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 for tangible items of lasting benefit, such as equipment and furniture. Please do not apply for operating costs, running costs, maintenance, venue hire, salaries or other consumables for your project as these will not be considered. If you have received a grant from us, you must wait two years before reapplying.
Examples of projects which we are keen to fund are:
• Projects which are of special help to specific social groups. For example, voluntary youth groups (scouts, guides, youth clubs), the elderly or disabled.
• Projects which support community life in general such as improvements to facilities such as village halls.
• Infrastructure which supports community use.
• Projects that support community drama, art, music and sporting/leisure activities.
• Environmental and conservation schemes that support access to the countryside / outdoors.
Please remember to include the required supporting information, including quotes for the items you wish to purchase, your organisations constitution and your annual financial information including additional funding you may have.
Schools - schools are not generally eligible for the community fund, unless they can evidence that they the items will be in use of the local community including members who do not attend the school
Statutory Bodies - we can only fund statutory bodies where they can evidence that the project is outside of their statutory responsibilities
Applications are to be be submitted by 5pm on 9th May 2025 and we will notify you of our decision w/c 16th June 2025.
